What User likes about The Mercer:
an excellent, traditional restaurant that is a joy to visit. bed linen tablecloths and serviettes, even towel in the toilets. service is friendly and attentive, without being overlaid. but of course the best of all that is eating. we had the Friday night menu. all the dishes were a little different from the usual ones. all the appetizers we had were excellent. so the main thing, in particular the mercer pie, were a s... What User doesn't like about The Mercer:
Apart from us being the only women diners in the restaurant, this was a good meal. The service seemed a bit amateur at first (dropped butter dishes and someone bringing over the wrong order) but soon found its stride and the food was good. Nice old City atmos with big round tables and high ceilings. It has seen better days but we were happy with the experience. View all feedback.
This is a good place for a business lunch in the heart of the City. Tables are reasonably well apart and food and service good. Traditional British menu
