this beautiful pub just got so much better after an extensive renovation. the dusty curtains are replaced by tasteful furniture and soft lighting. they have a fantastic selection of beers and the menu looks really tempting. the best for me are the 2 new publicans. they will fight to find a warmer reception anywhere in london. highly recommended! Went here around 11pm to get a couple drinks before a night out and the people working at the bar refused to serve my boyfriend and I after claiming our ids were fake (they were not fake, they were official provisional licences). The workers possibly only claimed they were fake because they couldn’t be bothered to serve us before closing time. Ruined the beginning of our night because of poorly trained staff.
