The staff at this restaurant is incredibly attentive and friendly. The food is exceptional, especially the yellow curry and Seal Beach roll. I frequently visit with my family and always recommend this place to my friends. They have vegan and vegetarian options available. The restaurant is kid-friendly with plenty of choices for picky eaters. Free parking is available with plenty of spots. View all feedback.
What Samuraineko doesn't like about Bai Plu Thai Sushi:
The hand roll was disappointing, as they used low-quality nori and served it last instead of first. The nori was tough and hard to chew through. The duck soup broth was too strong and salty, and the noodles were clumped together. The Thai salad was unimpressive, mostly just vinegar with raw vegetables and stale peanuts. The bill came to $41 before tip. The table waiter was helpful, but the other staff members were lo... View all feedback.
Nice taste. Everything is good, can not go wrong with any item.. Any melody I go order something different and never disappointed. I and the family love this place, very nice clean place to eat, staff is super friendly.
Bai Plu Thai is a gem of a find. We were visiting family and just wanted a little 'us ' time and a change from 'the usual place '. I saw the sign a few doors down and thought 'sure, how about some pad Thai noodles '. OMG! We walked in on three sushi chefs working and all I could smell was a fresh ocean. We ordered a sashimi platter and pad Thai shrimp. One of the best meals I 've had. Next day we brought the rest of the family. I don 't think they 'll be going back to the burger place next door again.
We dined outside. According to my taste bud, these food tasted salty: 1. boat noodle 2. papaya salad These food were delicious: 1. sushi Food tasted right, not salty and not too sweet 1. pad see ew 2. ban chan Services: Take care of us well so we will come back again when we crave for sushi and thai food same time but I'll make sure not to reorder those salty food again.
Good: Huge variety Good quality sushi Generous portions Good service Full bar! Meh: Huge variety like 15 pages on the menu) Friend ofine has been telling me about Bai Plu Thai Sushi bar for the longest time now. Finally got a chance to try it out. I was a bit leary with the sushi because, in my experience, se sushi joints that don't specialize in sushi usually tend not to have the best quality fish. I was wrong on this count. This fish quality was good, with no fishy smell, so it passes the smell test and taste test. And also being a Thai restaurant that serves sushi, you never know what the Thai food is going to be like. Verdict: Good. We ended up ordering Pad Se Ew with beef $16.99), Papaya salad $14.99), Panang curry with chicken $15.99), spicy eggplant basil with chicken $15.99). Oh, let's not forget about the Mango sticky rice $14.99). All delicious and definitely flavors you'd expect from a Thai restaurant. Service was attentive and quick. Although family friendly, not really built for strollers. But I would definitely come back on the near future.
First, I want to say this used to be a favorite of mine until I noticed a decline in customer service and the restaurant being clean including the bathroom no ventilation, dirty and smell of sewage in there. Experienced gnats flying all over Thai tea my sushi rolls and dishes while eating there, so nasty. I told the waitress and the only thing she responded was, I 'm so sorry. At the end, we were over charged for a dish we didn 't even receive. The waitress didnt believe us, so, she brought the guy in the sushi bar that prepared it. He insisted that he made it for us and that we ate it. When that was not the case. He gave us an attitude then credited our bill for his mistake. That is not acceptable. Not going back there again!
