Four stars for now. First time visiting since it was Dodgers (or Doogers? . Chowder was legit! Lots of chow in the chowder...creamy, flavorful. First time trying battered salmon as a fish n chips dish. Salmon wasn't dry and the batter wasn't overdone. The deep dish apple crisp is pretty good too. Service was spot on. Future visits will give me a chance to try other dishes and adjust rating if warranted. read more.

"First time trying this place and it was great. Staff was friendly. Food was good. The drinks were good. The place has a great atmosphere. Great decor. Has a family section and a bar area. The restroom was very clean and wheelchair accessible. They also have a family restroom which is great for people with kids. Ample parking. Located right on the main street into Long Beach. We went on a busy Saturday and they warned us they were a little short staffed, but they did great. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Long Beach!"

"Wow! First, the food was excellent. We started with beet salad. My wife and friend had razor clams, another friend had sturgeon. I'm vegetarian, I found the mushroom ravioli to be delicious. For dessert, we split a tiramisu and homemade ice cream. Our server Juan did a great job. Prices were reasonable. It was so good we were back the next morning for breakfast. My wife had Willapa Bay oysters, which she reported were fresh and delicious. We also split and order of New Orleans beignets.I had the blueberry waffles with blueberry syrup, it was wonderful. We highly recommend the 42nd Street Cafe if you're on the Long Beach Peninsula."
