My partner and I discovered this place last year during a special Cinco de Mayo event. Due to our work schedules, we hadn't had the chance to stop by to try their regular menu, but it finally worked out. There's an option for indoor our outdoor dining, and the inside is wonderfully decorated with a modern taste (get it? lol). The service is outstanding! The menu has options for people with a variety of different preferences or needs. The drink menu is plentiful, and has amazing options try the Grilled Pineapple Jalapeno Mezcal Margarita. We started off with the chicken hatch chilli dip, which was a great portion filled of deliciousness!! Their chicken pot pie, patty melt, and green salads were also impressive, and I would have again anyway!! My favorite was their pastries that I cannot get enough off!!!! We were both very impressed with the Modern Kitchen Bar, and we cannot wait to return!
This place is truly a little gem in Long Beach. Such a wide selection of Wines and Whiskey! Oh and you must try their freshly baked pastries and croissants! Some of the best I've had! The other food dishes are excellent too!The service is always great by the waitresses and bartenders! They even have outdoor seating for those nice days ahead!

I liked that there was breakfast and pastries along with lunch items. We got two **** Mary's, a cold brew, salad, soup, burger and sandwich. Which came out to about $80ish before tips. Everything was so good! I want to go back to try more.
Came here one Friday after work with several co workers. Small restaurant with ample parking. Small and intimate restaurant. Modern decor is nice. Service and food was even better. For drinks, I ordered their Lavender Lemon Drop. It was very good and actually refreshing. My colleague mentioned they make their own lavender (don't quote me on that) and it definitely is good and refreshing. They have a lavender lemonade which I plan on ordering when opting for a non alcohol drink. For food, we ordered appetizers for the table: hummus, pepperoni and sausage flat bread [probably the best flat bread I ever had and it was devoured before I took a picture], chicken lettuces wraps, and spinach and artichoke dip. Everything was good! Service, food, and ambiance was on point. Would definitely return.
I went here for lunch on my birthday, and it was the best! Casual atmosphere, but still nice ambience with the decor. It gets the busiest around 12:30-1:30, but even then there isn 't much of a wait, if any. The food was delicious (we had the mushroom quiche and the club sandwich), but the real star was the espresso martini! I don 't even like vodka, but that was the best drink I 've had in a while. Will definitely be back to try their happy hour! Also, as a strange coincidence, it was the owner 's birthday as well and we were seated right under a table with a Happy Birthday banner! Our l server was so sweet too in celebrating my birthday. A great experience all around!
