"I’ve done many reviews of The Purple Onion over the years. Have been going there a few times a year since it opened about Never been disappointed. The food, the place, the atmosphere and the welcome are always was a family outing for my wife and mine’s wedding anniversary. I can only say that it was probably the best meal we’ve ever had in The Purple Onion. I won’t bore readers with details of everyone’s choice. Suffice to say that not a single scrap not one scrap of food was left uneaten. It was a fabulous meal. Service was courteous but efficient. Food was simply excellent. "Beautiful food, friendly…. Located a walk from the local airfield myself and friends have flown in many times to eat in the Rustic Inn and they have always been very welcoming and the food is always great, we’ve even been luck enough for the guys at the airfield to offer us a lift back and forth although the walk along the canal is beautiful. If your lucky you might catch a few aircraft doing acrobatics whilst you are enjoying a drink outside."
