What Steve in staffs F doesn't like about The Longford Fishbar:
Called in here to get a quick bite to eat after a long day in the garden and couldn 't be bothered to cook. Been here many times and is definitely a 'hit or miss ' establishment on this occasion I definitely wish I had not bothered. Went about 7 pm fish and chips £5-90 just one thing to say a waste of money. I live 4 mins from here in the car food was stone cold after couple of mouth fulls it went in the bin. I reall... Worst chicken kebab meat I’ve ever had! really fatty, had to leave about half of it. First and last time I’ll be going there. Chips were decent though.
Decided to order some food from here. Didn't have any cash on us and local cash points weren't working. Had to join just eat standing in the shop to pay for foo...

"One of the best authentic Chinese in Longford town, good service and friendly people no harm done lol. They don't accept card if purchase below Euro 10, otherwise they do fine. Have a customer washroom or toilet which can be used but no dine in at the moment, but take away and delivery available. Yes you can order in advance for collection. Opens till very late in night, so time not a big problem. Noodles all of them fabulous here also fried rice too. Duck also great. If in Longford and looking for night supper Mekong is the name to hit, you'll love it. Am so glad to be their couple of times now, started getting complimentary prawn crackers when buying above Euro 20. On the main street of Longford so will not miss this place. Very difficult to find free parking near here though but it's worth buying a ticket also. Thanks for reading it. Will try to post menu and pics later."

"He only enjoyed 5 nights in this wonderful bbb in the heart of Ireland. We arrived early from our overnight ferry to Belfast and our room was ready. (Room 24) The check in was easy and the room and bathroom were very clean. Everything was like I expected nothing to be missing. The 5 nights of sleep were not annoyed and the choice of breakfast is from the pub menu, which means there are many options. We recommend the Irish. The location is in Midlands about 15 minutes from Longford and 1.5hrs from Dublin. The levels of service and the welcome of the locals made this a place to which we will return. Dinner at the restaurant was huge (Roast of the day) we only ate there once as we went out with friends every other night, but it was definitely worth the money. The staff was amazing and could teach the Americans one thing or two about giving a real welcome and service with a smile. We loved it and are looking for a calendar for next year's stay. "Wonderful experience, stayed overnight the bedrooms were top class, we had steak for dinner it was the biggest steak I have ever gotten in Ireland and really tasty meal. Enjoyed the music in the bar great night had by all. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not included in the deal we had, but they included it anyway. We were looking for a taxi to take us down to the harbour the next morning . Derek the owner dropped us down no charge. Really enjoyed our stay will be back."
