"El Meson was recommended to us by a resident and it turned out to be a great find. It is in a convenient location on the boulevard and all of the staff could not have been nicer. We came back through Iquitos two weeks later and couldn't wait to take some friends there. The menu (in English) has a good variety of local dishes that gave us a chance to try something new everything was delicious. Prices were reasonable for what I expect when traveling and, again, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beer was cold and the sangria was worth a second pitcher. If you are in Iquitos and looking for a place to eat, this is where I would recommend. Go there, eat well, and enjoy yourselves."

"Chosen by my fellow travelers (not from Texas), this is a wannabe Texas theme knockoff restaurant. As a Texan, I was not hopeful this would be a good choice. The four of us ordered four different entrees, all of them almost inedible. Unnecessarily huge menu,...with some American sounding dishes, and silly descriptions, Chicken and Dumplings what the poor people eat in the southern United States . I would encourage the owner to reduce the menu size to a page or two, and serve a few authentic Texas/American dishes prepared with actual recipes. Business would be great. Portion sizes are large, way too large, wasting a lot of food. This was the worst food we had in Iquitos area over three weeks."

"The menu is overwhelming, definitiw as the most popular place for vegan options in the environment, they are known for their ayahuasca menu. we have ordered a few items to try a little of everything. the Tacu-Tacu was disappointing and delicious fishy, causa was also disappointing and reminded me of a deviled egg flavor. we enjoyed the cold acai suppe and best vegan taco service was great however."
