Great food. Fish tacos, guacamole, tomatoes, and cubano. Service was thoughtful. Thought it would be hard to find, but it was simple. Street parking was available. Wonderful early dinner experience glad we made reservations. It was full inside and out. View all feedback.
What LisaC doesn't like about Angry Egret Dinette:
The food was terrible. It was shamefully bad. Dishes arrived one entree at a time with ten or more minutes between each plate. It took forever to get our food. They don't have any tea. It's not a surprise that barely anyone was there on a Saturday. Never. Again. View all feedback.
The fusion of aromen was excellent! probably the best frit on a fish I have ever tasted! charles was a wonderful waiter!
This dinette has amazing eating! the ambiente is a little casual, but eating itself is elevated. we ordered the black belt banh mi and the goats birra and both dishes knock it out the park. the banh mi had this lightly spicy sauce, all the ingredients tied together and the pigeon bauch was tender and seasoned well. the birra meat was extremely clean and there were no gamines. it had such a tenderness that the meat would melt simply in mouth. I am happy to go back and try the other dishes. we had a reservation so that we didn't wait to take a place and the staff was very friendly.
Nice place, good food, friendly service. nothing to “wow” though!
Charles was an awesome server! Had been before for lunch, first time for dinner and it was sooooo delicious! So flavorful!
We got to the restaurant about 20 minutes before our dinner reservation time, but we were seated right away. The servers and the hostess were super nice and sweet, and they were super attentive to our son as well. After getting our beverages, a Frogtown brew and La Luz hibiscus agua fresca, we ordered four small bites from their menu- fish tacos, ceviche tostada, the squash mushroom quesadilla, and mussels- and that was more than enough food for the three of us. Our favorite was definitely the tostada, which I believe was a special. The fish tacos were HOTTT, in the most delicious way. My least favorite was probably the tomato sauce with the mussels, as it was super acidic, but every other component in the dish was great. We loved being seated in the courtyard, right under their grapevines! Such a wonderful ambiance and it’s kid-friendly, which we were happy to find out. We’re definitely coming back for lunch hours soon.
