What Jessica M doesn't like about Carnitas Estilo Michoacan:
Unfortunately, I received the incorrect order at this restaurant and was subsequently blamed by a member of staff. The worker loudly scolded me in front of other customers, wrongly insinuating that the mistake was my fault when it was actually theirs. They refused to provide me with the correct order or a refund. Thankfully, another worker intervened to rectify the situation. Overall, the service was extremely poor. View all feedback.

It appears that the restaurant that was previously located in East LA was the top choice, but unfortunately it closed down or changed ownership. I decided to try two carnitas tacos and one fish taco, while my boyfriend opted for the asada nachos. The carnitas tacos were delicious as expected, but the fish taco was disappointing. There was very little fish, and the crust was soggy and greasy, topped with lettuce and tomato which seemed out of place. The asada nachos were tasty, but there was excess oil at the bottom of the tray. The ordering process was quick, and there were plenty of seats available in the shaded area.
I love supporting local eateries, so I decided to try this restaurant after a night out with friends. I ordered super nachos de asada and two tacos de tripas, which were delicious. I requested extra red salsa and carrots, but was informed there would be an additional charge. I paid the extra fees and tipped the cashier. However, when we got home, we realized we didn't receive the extra salsas or carrots we paid for. In fact, there were no carrots at all. It's important to double check your order before leaving this place. Unfortunately, the service and attention to detail were lacking at this establishment.
I recently visited a taco joint that serves absolutely delicious food, but unfortunately, I have to mention the poor behavior of the staff. The food is undeniably amazing, with a range of options such as tacos, burritos, and super nachos that are loaded with flavor and freshness. The salsa is particularly amazing and adds a perfect kick to any dish. However, the rude behavior of the staff can be quite frustrating. Whenever I try to ask for extra salsa or jalapeños, they often make it seem like an inconvenience and treat me with an unwelcoming attitude. Even when I offer to pay for extra salsa, the cashier would tell me it's free, but when I arrive to pick up the food, they would try to charge me. This kind of behavior is not ideal, and I believe it can be quite off-putting for customers who expect a friendly and welcoming environment.Despite the poor attitude of the staff, I still visit this place because the food is good. But I must admit, it's not an ideal situation to have to deal with the staff's behavior just to enjoy the food. I would like to see an improvement in the staff's behavior because it could make a huge difference in the overall experience of the customers.Unfortunately, the area where the restaurant is located has a reputation for being unsafe due to the presence of sketchy patrons. In summary, if you're looking for amazing food, this taco joint is worth a visit, but be prepared for the possibility of encountering rude staff. The food is undeniably good, but the customer service needs improvement.
It is officially ONE STAR rating from me now as I 've held many childhood memories eating here dating back to 1981 82! The food quality has drastically changed in the last two years but I just give them a benefit of a doubt and hopefully they will either get over with their bad days, or just overall improves. I recently visited again as I haven 't been since last year and was surprised that the price has jumped a whole lot mainly on burritos only, but this isn 't the main factor for the review, at least not entirely. Ordered my usual asada burrito and tacos and for some odd reasons the food did not taste good at all. My stomach got upset shortly after and just went downhill from thereon all evening. Hate to admit it but I got diarrhea for the very first time eating here in nearly four decades! Whoever wrapped the burrito was just pure amateurish. Completely fell apart. Knew something was off from the beginning. Now again on their neverending price hike. As many of you may know by now they no longer sell 'all beef ' burritos. I had to go with the uber overpriced $9.99 Asada with lots of rice and beans. Yes, Asada burritos are now $9.99 if you 're a burrito lover you will be most disappointed. Strangely enough or is it? it seems like they only like to hike the price up on such and other items are pretty neutral. In addition, they will now charge an extra 35¢ for all card transactions. Bummer again for those of us that do not carry cash. The good news is: diarrhea is free of charge, which is sure to be included! All jokes and sarcasm aside, the one star rating is mostly for bad food which got me sick. Covid is over so stop using these pandemic era schemes to raise prices. No fun and no longer worth wasting my money on.
