I love this place. The service is always great, music great, food is great, and the experience is great. The pizzas here are really good. We love the white bronco and the chaparrito. Great variety of salads as well. We were attended my Nora and she was amazing. Will always come back. View all feedback.
What Dante Wilson doesn't like about Jon Vinny's Fairfax:
First time at Jon Vinny’s and I really enjoyed my food. Service was a bit off felt as if the server was upset that we walked in at 9:45 for our 9:45 reservation. I understand that’s 15 minutes before you close but it’s a dinner time given by the restaurant not the customer. Besides that everything was great from the food and the music. Went with the “Brooklyn Dodger” pizza, the Fuji apple salad, and the spicy fusilli... View all feedback.
One of the best Italian meals I have had in LA. Simple, great food! Meatballs, Chicken Parm, pastas….all amazing! Great wine selection also! Service was wonderful also. Ask for Sean for your waiter!
Delicious pizzas and pastas. Great service and a vibrant, causal dining scene. Don’t miss the sublime chicken cutlet or the roasted broccolini. Wine and beer only. Fairfax is their OG location.
Jon Vinny's is with a visit, but make a reservation, they were packed. We stopped in and we're lucky enough to find a table for 2. The eclectic atmosphere and food pair well here. We got a few things, the Ham Yeezy Pizza, the Spicy Fusili Pasta, and the mozzarella sticks. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the mozzarella sticks and get the chicken parmesan. That said, the food was delicious, the pasta had an amazing vodka sauce that made you want more. And the pizza was perfect and would rival some of the best in the country. The crust was crisp, charred and not floppy. The sauce, toppings and cheese paired fantastic with one another. That all said, the service was okay, if you're from the East Coast like I am, you're used to seeing people hustle and everyone here seemed to be running on LA time. It's not anything bad, just different. My other gripe would be portion size, you want more for the price, but I would absolutely come back.
Can’t talk this place up enough. The pasta, pizza, apps all decadent but not too rich. Modern Italian is the best way to describe it. Purely perfection. Everything was amazing and I would (and did) drive hours to eat here.
I had been hearing about Jon Vinny’s for a LONG time. I was in town and had to stop in for breakfast. I got the Avocado Toast w/ fried egg and shared the buttermilk pancakes and banana bread with a friend. I’d recommend all 3 as must haves for anyone who stops by for breakfast. Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu it was all done so well! The staff was very nice and provided excellent service. I will absolutely be back for brekky beyond.
