Kind of a rustic meets modern feel. Menu is not very big but everything on the menu is good and flavorful. I've had the pizza, burger, steaks, and apps and they are all good. Writing this review with a nice buzz as I ordered 2 cocktails, and they were healthy pours, so I'm still feeling good. A good place to eat and drink. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Stocking Frame:
I don't know what happened to this place. it was one of my favorite DDTLA restaurants. the menu has changed a lot and eating was top notch. now there are some mediocre pizzas on the menu and some appetizers. the service was just okay. they didn't get around so we really had to tie the server down when we needed something. just not what the place was earlier. Self served sounds cool but when the server doesn't pay attention to the guest, makes me want to get out.If your not a phone person, want good hospitality and don't have money on your account find another place to eat.Highly disappointed heard it was 5 stars
Service/Setting: Came in on a Saturday evening in May 2022. The staff was very nice and the setting is an interesting place to sit. I like the decor and the moody lighting. The ordering process was unconventional. You order on your phone then wait while your food comes out. That's if you want food. There was a small bar available as well, that you ordered separately from. I would have preferred the ordering process to be more streamlined to avoid having to have multiple transactions. Food: I ordered a slice each of the Jersey cheese and the Pepperoni. The Jersey cheese was easily my favorite between the two. Had a nice oregano seasoning in the cheese that I enjoyed. The pepperoni slice was good, what one would expect. I liked the crust on both slices. It had a nice flavor that reminded me a bit of sourdough bread. My only complaint would be that I wish the slices were a little bigger. Quality is there for sure though! I did order a bottled beer as well. It tasted good and went well with the pizza, but it was a bit on the room temperature side. I would have preferred it colder. Overall: I enjoyed my pizza at this place and was treated well by the staff. It's a cool place to be, but because of the ordering process, I would recommend this place more for takeout than I would dine-in. Still, it's a cool place to check out if you're in the area and recommend it.
Walked in at the end of the night after they had closed and one of the guys took us in and let us order a few slices to go. Was super friendly and patient with us, and it was so nice to have after a nearby spot was rude to us. Thanks mysterious guy who stayed open so we could get some slices before our show. Solid pizza and cute space!
This place was across from our Airbnb so we decided to give it a try. The pizza is amazing and the hot honey is unique and perfect! We had takeout, the service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend!
The place is a bit small but good thing they serve both pastries and meal which makes it more convenient for customers. It only took them a short time to serve the order though they were serving many tables at that moment. Good thing their seafood pasta was really satisfying. This place is best for pasta lovers. You can check their page if you really want to have a view before going to the place. Surely, you'll like it!
