Casa De Benavidez - Los Ranchos

I have only one small criticism, but I don't want to penalize the restaurant for it. I expect good service when I spend money for a pleasant evening out, so the lack of help does make a difference. However, it's not a major issue here. I recommend stopping by for delicious food, great drinks, and overall good service!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. It used to be amazing, with a kind staff and owner, but that is no longer the case. When I told my server that my lunch didn't taste good, I was shocked to learn that the guacamole on my food was three days old. The server offered to make me a fresh batch, but it was not actually fresh. When I asked to speak with a manager, the rude older female owner insisted that there was nothing wrong with three day old guacamole. If it tastes bad, there is clearly a problem. I recommend asking if your food will be made to order and if it is fresh before ordering. The quality of service and food at Casa De Benavidez has definitely declined.

Only thing I can say negative and to be fair with restaurants I shouldn't even downgrade for lack of help. I pay good money though for a nice enjoyable evening out and lack of service effects that. Good news! It's only a minor issue here. Do yourselves a favor and stop in for some great food, awesome drinks, and pretty good service!

Great food. We stop here every time we pass through Albuquerque. Even though they are having a time hiring staff we had zero problems.

The food was absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional! Once again, the food exceeded expectations. I ordered a stuffed sopapilla with a fried egg on top and it was fantastic! The red chile had a rich flavor and the sopapillas were perfectly fried.
