"After the visit to the abbey, we had lunch at Mimie's. All tapas and/or dishes were of good quality and delicious. Perfect quantity with 2 tapas. We also took a knife steak piare. with the best seasoning. for beef fries, a slaughter. Home and quality service. Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world."

"French food and beautifully served. Regratably we were told that they cannot sustain the busineess and that from October the restaurant will only be open a few days a week. The Americans started it, the English followed now the French have fallen into the same trap. Take-aways, burgers, pizzas anything but proper food there is not way to reverse the trend, French food is on the slide."
