deep plate pizza that really reminds me of pizza in Chicago! Totally buy $25 for the largest deep plate that is SO heavy. ? above all the great pieces of tasty tomatoes love? so much better than the typical blow tomato sauce View all feedback.
What Allen Litt doesn't like about Rosati's Pizza:
The deep court was fine to write nothing. Ingredients were good, although the crust needs work; only not worthy of Chicago. Your 40 minutes waiting time was really 65 minutes we knew about other reviews. Martino? It's better on the street. View all feedback.
Walked in and placed an order for a 10 deep dish with 2 meats and ricotta cheese as well as 10 boneless wings. Was told it would be a 25-30 minute wait which is understandable because it was 7pm. Ended up waiting about 50. At the 30 minute mark they seemed to struggle to find the order which makes me suspect it was not started to begin with. The wings were your average hot buffalo wings. The pizza was good but I paid $5.50 for 2 meats but there wasn't much on there. The crust sauce and cheese were all good though.
Former Chicago resident, we where able to get Rosati's in Phoenix az. 35 mile drive from Aurora, well worth it Great Pizza.
Absolutely love their Chicago deep dish pizza! As an Italian, I’ve been trying to find a great, local pizza spot and I think this is it! The crush had the perfect crunch, cheese melted and the flavors were amazing. Will definitely eat here again and again!
After a long day at work in downtown Denver--my first day at the office after finally testing negative for Covid--I stopped to pick up my pizza from Rosati's. A man waiting in the store complained to his wife about how their pizza is going to take another 20 minutes.Me: They must be short staffed. The pizza is good though!Man: I really hope so. This is the first time I'm ordering from here. I've never waited this long before for a pizza. I wanted to treat my grandson who has been working hard in our backyard. I was then told by a young man that my pizza would also take another 20 minutes, which would take it well past 7.Me: But you close at 7.Young man: No. We close at 8.Me: You have a sign there that says you close at 7.He has no idea it was there. He took it down and threw it away.I texted my husband to let him know.Hubs: Never ordering from there again?Me: That's not fair. They may just be having a bad day. Next time, we should call to find out the real wait time before ordering online.I'm huge on supporting local businesses.Several others arrived, and joined the wait. The first man finally got his pizza, wished me luck and left. Shortly after, the young man working the front also left. Pizzas were called out by name by another young man, and those folks also left. I figured they must have ordered before me.Then the last person to arrive also got his pizza. Me: I've been here over half an hour. Do you have an ETA on my pizza?Young man: What's the order?Me: 42[I know! All I can tell you is that it's definitely not the answer at Rosati's!]Young man (pulls out pizza from warming oven): Oh, it's been ready for a while. I just forgot about it. Seriously? I called my husband: Never ordering from there again! I was in there for 38 minutes. Waiting for a pizza that was ready! Why did I even bother convincing the other customer that it was worth the wait? On a weekend, I might have more patience. But on a weekday, especially a long day when I was feeling the fatigue associated with recovery from Covid, I did my best not to get upset. They didn't know my situation. But they should have known that the pizza was ready, that someone was waiting for it and that they made someone wait for no reason. All other pizzas were called out by name. And some were called multiple times when there was no answer. Just not mine. It's just my luck that these things happen to me. My advice to you is this: call them. If they don't answer their phone (it was ringing and ringing), get your pizza fix elsewhere. If they answer, ask them how long it's really going to take. Then decide if you want to place your order. Maybe you might have better luck. Me? I was too tired to enjoy my pizza.
We love the pizza and the chicken tenders but the delivery guarantee is a hit or miss. The last 3 orders made a couple of hours in advance has been a failure. We hope Rosatti's can get their act together... Two hours late ?
