My wife and I have had traditional Portuguese meals several times. First, the Couvert excellent cheese, bread and Algarvian carrots, as was the tomato and onion salad. The wine we selected was good. The foie gras was ok, yet nothing exceptional for the price. Bacalhou was dry and chewy, the accompanying vegetables had too much oil for my taste. The chicken was seasoned well, yet not much meat.
