"I've been to both Appam and Hoppers restaurants in Madurai on several occasions. We've always been really well looked after, and the Appam's are delicious. The Mutton gravy in the combo is quite lacking in actual meat, but the gravy flavour goes so well with the appam that I happily order it anyway. We've found that the taste of the prawn fry differed between the two restaurants, but both are tasty. The advantages of the JC Redidency location are the lovely roof top and the ability to have a cool beer with dinner."
