"Seemingly very basic and unassuming when first entering this restaurant, but service and food tell an entirely different story. Both my husband and I ad the Caesar Salad, and the braised short rib dinner. Both far more than good, the chefs at this family-owned restaurant really know what they’re doing. The salad was the best I’ve ever had. The rib dinner was beyond. Full of amazing tastes, the meal was also colourful on the plate, making you want to stop talking and just dig in. If you’re coming to Ottawa or anywhere near Wakefield, Quebec, you need to experience the magic at The Village."

"We've been to Wakefield so many times... and only discovered this gem of a restaurant yesterday. Intimate rustic space. Great service. Their menu isn't large, but what they do is locally sourced and done very well. Make a reservation and try their dining experience. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!"

"This is a terrible Tim Horton’s. We’ve stopped there a few times on the way through and each time it has been terrible. I won’t go there again. I have experienced the following: rude employees, half full drinks and potato wedges, missing items in the order, and more. For example, when we went in today, they half filled our hot chocolates and latte. When I asked them to fill up the latte, they begrudgingly took it and returned it to me a minute later it tasted bery watered down (I suspect they filled it with hot water, it was not good). They also forgot the donuts so when I asked for those, I had to wait another 3 5 minutes and they passed me the two donuts somehow shoved into a single sleeve bag. The time before, they forgot my latte and it was very hard to find someone who would make it for me, and the potato wedges were less than half full. Not wasting anymore money here."

"I ordered a cake for my daughters 3rd birthday and Carrie intuitively knew what I had in mind and was easy to make the arrangement with. The cake was spectacular and beautiful. We loved it and will only order from there for other special occasions."
