We keep going back to this fabulous restaurant. Always have a wine tasting, and this time we got to share with the kids celebrating an 18th so their first time of wine tasting. The girls and Nana agreed on the Rose whilst we had a lovely Cabernet/Shiraz. The food was fabulous as always and the staff lovely and friendly. Our daughter always has the gnocchi. The open fire added to the atmosphere. read more.

In beautiful weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area.

Great wine but food is really not great ... entree was ok, main course were below average specially for a winery ... lamb so overcooked, curry was ok...was going to have desert but service went downhill after sending back the overcooked steak then steak came back not cooked at all ... my husband left very hungry... read more.

What a great restaurant with lovely people We had the duck and pork loin with excellent award winning wine.

"We stopped here for lunch and tried pies and sausage rolls. From our view sausage roll didn’t have good puff pastry, more like a short crust. Meat was tasteless, more the industrial style where they complement with bread or whatever. Pies were also not convincing...in taste, meat pies lack meat but as we had the blue cheese one better compared to the sausage role."

"Stringybark Winery located in the picturesque Chittering Valley, 50 minutes from Perth, is a firm favourite of mine for a good old Sunday lunch. The winery is open Wednesday through to Sunday from 11.30am onwards. They also open from 9am on Sunday mornings for a full English breakfast. Everything about Stringybark Winery is very rustic, from the winding unsealed driveway through the vineyard, to the quaint building that, to me, looks as though it belongs in a German forest.
