"We have had wonderful meals at the restaurant before Covid. Tonight, we ordered a take and bake lasagna. To our surprise, this lasagna was the first takeout meal that our three guests and I felt is better than our own homemade lasagna. The lasagna was...al dente, just the right texture. There was a generous amount of exceptional, flavourful, provolone and ricotta cheeses and just the right amount of meat. The Béchamel .sauce was superb. Who knew gourmet takeout could be excellent and reasonably priced."

"The service was excellent, all members of the staff that we interacted with were exceptionally polite and courteous. Staff was very knowledgeable of the menus items and what would complement each option. The food was outstanding full of flavour and was at the appropriate temperature when brought to the table."

"John's Lunch came highly recommended and definitely lived up to expectations. The location is great with ferry and bus access at Woodside and easily accessible regardless of where you're coming from. The service was prompt and really friendly. They know they're good but they are humble about it, and this is probably what makes them the best. The haddock was probably the best I've ever had and the rice pudding was great, too. I will definitely return in the future and I think you should too."

"This had to be the most delicious Thai food in Nova Scotia! The food was superb. We never realized that the meals we ordered were part of a lunch combo so were surprised when they served the soup and spring roll. The hot and sour soup was my favorite! Close second was the crispy chicken in sweet and sour sauce. We will definitely be back! Such a wonderful experience!"

I don’t mind waiting to be seated because their food is delicious.Vegetarian options: Restaurant is all plant based, GF. Their menu has variety of option breakfast to dinner, bakery and drinks.They also have pre packed/frozen options for take outs."

"We went for his birthday and all had burgers. The meals were great. All largish portions. The peanut butter burger is a favourite, along with their milkshakes and Darrell fries (wedge potatoes). Always a favourite"

"Being an avid contributor to Trip Advisor, I usually check the app for reviews prior to trying a new restaurant. I was pre-warned that this restaurant is messy, but upon arrival I finally experienced the true mess and un-cleanliness that is Wasabi House.FACT: The floors needed to be swept, there was dust bunnies, food, dirt, leaves, a bit of everything- on the floors of the restaurant, AND THIS WAS ONLY AT LUNCH TIME. The restaurant was PACKED when we arrived and we were able to find a seat within five minutes of waiting. There looked to be only two servers waiting tables, they were very efficient so this wasn't an issue. Our issue came with the starter salad. There were yellow bugs in my salad, perhaps this is a one off, maybe they flew in through the window? Maybe they were from the bag of greens (if that's how the lettuce was purchased?) either way, it ruined our experience. The server was apologetic and (she did see the bugs with her own eyes and was shocked) gave us 25% off of our bill, along with a take out tray for the two free rolls they delivered to our table throughout the meal (from what I've read, they do this quite often) but we won't be back."
