"My first visit here with daughter and granddaughter. We arrived early to get a window seat and enjoyed our meal. We were warmly welcomed, and coats were taken to be hung up. The wine list was not extensive but there were some good choices by the glass. We tried a nice white wine from France; at $10.00 a glass it was very good.Two of us choose a side of Grenn Goddess salad which was excellent, and one had romaine and purple cabbage - also very good. The side was large, and there were three pieces of good home style bread with a small pat of butter. It took a while for the main dishes to arrive, so don't go if you are in a rush. My entree was the Hen, cooked in a delicious orange glaze, served with roasted potatoes, broccoli and nearly raw carrots. The scallops were my daughter's dish, and she found them very nicely prepared. The third main dish was ravioli- pronounced excellent. We had time to sample and share two desserts - the chocolate crème caramel.(It was a lovely chocolate pudding; but not crème caramel.) One had cappuccino to finish the meal. Service was fast; perhaps overly attentive. The table had good cloth napkins, good cutlery but no tablecloth, flowers or placemats. It is a Bistro, so this seems the style. I would recommend Mappatura and hope to go again. ( The Salmon special looked excellent!)"

"Once again, Stories provided a wonderful fine dining evening. We have dined here several times, and it has always delivered an exceptional experience. We again had the great Faroe Island Salmon entree, and again it was spectacular. We are glad we had a chance to get back to Stories once more, before their announced closure later this summer. Perhaps it will return...if not, it will be well remembered by my wife and I as having been a top-tier restaurant in Halifax, delivering a quiet romantic dining experience, and consistently exceptional food and service."

"Best possible breakfast and lunch near Halifax Airport. Wonderful farm to table menu, plus gluten free and vegan options. Sarah the chef knows her way around breakfast. Don't miss the home fries! And if you are longing for a smoked salmon bagel with fresh arugula this is where you will find Nirvana. My husband adored his veggie omelet with toast and homemade jam. Coffee great too. We will stop again and again. Congrats, Sarah! So glad you immigrated from Australia! G'day!"

"We've had breakfast here twice. Excellent food, great service & reasonable prices. Wanted to try lunch but couldn't fit it in. They make homemade soups and delicious sounding sandwiches. We highly recommend this hidden gem!"
