"We had them cater our wedding in August 2020 at redwood falls park and the food was awesome! Our menu was grill out food with the fixings. Working with Brian, all over phone, he was very helpful and accomadating with our requests even when it wasn't written down when I booked them in February. They set up quickly and were very neat and their cleanup was just as neat. The helpers were very courteous and helpful. I will definately be recommending them to anybody that asks!!"

"This review is for Reeds on the River restaurant which is attached to the pub. I went here with my girlfriend one Thursday night and I have to say the food was delicious and the service impeccable, The prices are incredibly low with starters only around €5 6 and things like braised lamb shank bout €12. Honestly the only reason I haven 't given Reeds 5 stars is because of the live music. I happen to like live music in restaurants but it was not to my taste. A one man band with a tinny sounding drum machine and a demo button on a Yamaha keyboard just isn 't my cup of tea. For a few minutes I felt like I was in some dodgy hotel in Mullingar. Give me someone with an acoustic guitar any day. The decor is nice with lots of stone and wood, theres also an open fire but that was around the corner from where we sat. Back to the good stuff. I had cod smokies to start really, really good and my girlfriend stuck to the soup which as soups go was also pretty good. For the mains I had the braised lamb shank. Over the years I have had lamb shank many times and what surprised me most about this little restaurant in Suburban Lucan was that this was the best prepared lamb I have ever had. Rich red wine jus, moist, succulent, flavourful lamb, delicious veg and a not too big not too small portion. Excellent stuff, I cannot fault it. My girlfriend had the sea food platter which was also decent. Maybe I just had a better 2 courses? No BYO policy but in fairness it is attached to a pub and the prices are very very reasonable. Simple food done well."
