our first visit in italy, stay in lucca. we chose a real Italian pizza. the restaurant just started to do when we got in. the staff was very busy and we had to wait a short time, but the young man was very. friendly and helpful. we all had small calzone that was massive, warned I hate to think how the big one was. it was very good. it could not eat everything. "Whilst staying in Lucca we tried a few gelato's but once we found this one there was no comparison anywhere in Lucca and possibly all of Italy, which really means the world as this is the home of the gelato. The staff are superb and very helpful. The quality of the ice cream is phenomenal. And the cakes well have a look at the photos. If in Lucca of an evening take a stroll through S. Elisa gate to this gelato you will not be dissappointed. Be prepared to queue with the locals for a few minutes as this is a popular shop!!"
