"What can I say, the Auberge du chateau was a needed arrival in Loudenville and boy did it deliver. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming with an open fire on which meat in often cooked in front of you. The food is brilliant mountain grub with a protein packed menu that also caters to vegetarians, a feature not often seen in this part of france."

"Le service est rapide et il yb a un vaste choix. Les pizzas sont très bien faites, les ingrédients ont l'air frais et la pizza ne pèse pas trop sur l'estomac. Si vous n'avez pas trop faim, je vous conseille la petite taille. La grande taille convient largement pour trois personnes!"

"The waiter was super friendly and attentive, we had magret and sirloin with foie for dinner, both were super delicious, there was much more variety on the menu but we weren't very hungry, although we were left wanting to try more things because everything looked very good. The place is very cozy, quiet and beautiful. I recommend it"

"We have eaten here twice during our visit, both for dinner and it was great both times. They have a selection of menus and I am sure that the more expensive ones are great, but to be honest you just can't go wrong with the cheapest €13.50 menu. I had gazpachio soup, followed by the Paella and then creme Catalan. It was all great and I don't think I have ever felt so full or satisfied after a meal. Since this cost includes bread, wine and taxes how can you improve on that! The rest of the family had other dishes which were all equally good and plentiful. On our 2nd visit, we had the Calamares which were great as well. If I could go a 3rd time I would definitely go back to the Paella which was a highlight for me. The ladies serving us were couteous and helpful and could never do quite enough. For some strange reason 3 of us dropped a fork during our first visit and they appeared with a clean one before we had even rescued the old one. All great. Go if you want good food at a fantastic price"
