"After a palate tickling experience at Larks we continue our tryst with the Dhabas of the old city, this halt Pursharthi!<br/ <br/ Located right next to Larks,on a bustling street dotted with Dhabas,is Pursharthi.We climb two steps into an open kitchen with a huge tandoor which spits sparks and tantalising aromas of chicken and meat being grilled on skewers.We are escorted into a dingy little family room.But don't be put off.The fare served is robust and hearty.Service is really good.Pricing is pocket friendly.<br/ <br/ We ordered typical Dhaba fare-Keema Naan,Chicken tikka,their special butter Chicken,Dal Makhani.The servings were generous and we could find no fault with the food.Special mention of the green chutney,which gave the right kick and tingle to the chicken tikkas and Keema Naan.Same goes for the gravy accompanying the Keema Naan,a fiery punch!The dal had been slow cooked and simmered to perfection,a smooth and creamy concoction.The butter chicken was richly smothered in a red gravy,with plump,succulent pieces.The tandoori rotis were of a healthy size the term healthy as we Punjabis use it! ,couldn't eat more than one.The butter Naan was a butter drenched sinful delight,soft enough for a toothless person.<br/ <br/ Though I would rate Pusharthi a notch below Larks,it was nonetheless a superlative experience."

"A 10/10 place. One of the best restaurants, cafe n bar in Ludhiana. This place serves tasty and well presented food in cool ambiance. If you compare to other places like this the price are also nominal. Staff is very polite and humble and they host customers very well. The place have two different areas two open areas which are suitable for outdoor experience and one closed with air conditioned for that cozy environment. Good thing is that these areas are designed is way that they feel like one but are separate .So, one can host there private parties here. Every Wednesday they have ladies night and other events on different days of week. The music and food will just set the right mood and the on weekends the bands that play here are just lit, one must witness those. Coming to food, it is just great, their continental food is just the best, if you are a chicken lover one must try Butter chicken pizza here. This place has something for everyone, even if you want that cup of coffee, or spend you evening with your favorite drink and food. this place has lot to offer. The owner of place is always there if you have any problem. I think people like this place more because it has that human touch as it is designed by the owner itself by keeping in mind that what people want."
