"Unbelievably delicious! I drove past this place on the way to Houston and thought it neat to actually drive into or thru the restaurant to order and pick up food. Stellar customer service and hospitality and OMG flavor. A place that actually seasons the fish before frying and not too much salt; just right. Plenty of food for one order as well. Next time I’m in Texas this stop will be worth the trip. And reasonably priced."

"My first visit: Crappiest service for such a hyped up location. I had to get up to get my own water replenishment. Had to ask for my ticket after I put my plate and cup aside to let them know I was done. Our server has never checked for us and we had to mark the second server to get our check. Second visit, the next day: sat on the other server table and had a phenomenal time. She proposed a wine and brought me a sample and was patient with me at the selection something for my pallet. She made us feel very comfortable and we stayed for almost 3 hours for our lunch meeting and definitely come back and make sure we sit at her tables."

"My son and I are from New Orleans, were in Lufkin for the day and Tia Juanitas was recommended for a nice lunch. Parking was easy and the outside of the building looks like it belongs in a beach or fishing town. Inside, everything was clean, including the restrooms. One thing about poboys outside of southeast Louisiana is they're often made on hoagie rolls instead of French bread, this bread is pretty soft and doesn't usually stand up like French bread does. But! Tia Juanitas surprised me by toasting that roll, which made it crunchy like French bread and it didn't fall apart! My oyster poboy came with tarter sauce, lettuce and tomatoes and a side of fries. It was very good and the fries were done just right, crispy on the outside, not floppy or overcooked, and soft inside. We also tried the queso, boudin ball and nachos. The boudin ball was more breading than anything. I could taste the boudin seasoning, but was unable to find any meat. The nachos and queso were both very good. Michael was our waiter and took very good care of us."
