We rarely eat fast-food, but lately, since covid lockdown, whenever we go to the city we enjoy an espresso at McCafe. The beans come From Rast Kaffee in Ebikon, hence they Support local businesses too, an espresso only costs 1 chf and I can easily say it's the best you can get in Lugano. Trying to avoid a costly hotel breakfast we ventured for a standard coffee and breakfast menu. We found McDonald's shut at 9am but the McCafe open. Very limited menu, croissant, donuts and coffees. I asked for an apple juice seen in the fridge but was told it was not for sale! After selecting a poor and limited menu I found that it was cash only. At this point I had to leave.
