My husband and I were passing through on our way East and just wanted a non-franchised, run of the mill restaurant for breakfast. We spotted the sign for the Home Restaurant and it seemed to call our name. Good thing we responded. Everything from the bacon and sausage and hash browns and eggs was so well cooked. This was my first meal since the restaurant reopened. I wanted fish chips, but they were out. I ordered something else and asked for sweet potato fries. They were out of sweet potato fries. As it was my birthday, my friend paid for dessert for me; the only option was apple pie. Basically, I got nothing I wanted.
