"Travelling in BC for work is sometimes interrupted with incredible food and extremely friendly service. That was our experience in Lumby. First timers in Lumby, we didn't know the town, the welcoming sign, flowers and big bright windows caught our eyes. The aroma and display of home cooked fresh goodies dragged us inside Jitter Beans . We were not disappointed. Wonderful breakfast quiche/muffins and excellent coffee. What more could you ask for."

"Have not eaten much in the last few years, but are back to Millies our Fave) and it was as good as ever. Fantastic food... indeed my friend, fresh back from a trip to England, said Millie's fish is so light,...flakey and good as any good fish business in England. Food is fresh and tasty, restaurant is always immaculate, and the staff is fantastic."

"I visited Long John's for lunch with my family, while in Silver Star for a ski holiday. I would vote this as one of the 'nicer' (but still low-key) pubs at Silver Star. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. My husband had a 'deconstructed' lasagne, which was unusual but tasty, and I had a really delicious (and huge!) bowl of tomato soup. It was a pretty simple fare, but executed well. If we'd discovered this pub earlier into our holiday, I'm sure we would have dined here more than once. Also... both the waiters who served us had the name tag 'John', unsure if they own the place or if this is a laugh?!"

"Absolutely creative, delicious, and innovative food. They currently have a fantastic Australian chef who cooked one of the top 10 meals I've ever had. Had the special for dinner. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. Hats off to this great chef! Service was wonderful too. It was expensive but a great deal for food of this quality. Looking forward to going back."
