"I Have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for nearly 30 years. Over time it has hardly changed, their restaurant is a joy. The Family that run it, work really hard to provide great local classics , just try the perfect Parma ham, salamis, and culotello. seasonal dishes are always at the heart of the sufficiently wide menu offering classic plates, sea food dishes , what is interestingly named as land dishes Meats and vegetarian dishes to complete what they are prepared to offer. It’s a pleasure to explore and they are proud they generate joy for their guests. Try the local Vino Nero “Lambrusco “ which is slightly frizzante with ever such a delicate bubble., served young and cool. Heaven and it bears no relation to the commodity exported wine by the same name. Decoration is simple country cottage style , with an eclectic mix of chairs. The Patron ,Sergio , after Dinner service is complete, which is never rushed and not open until 7:30pm, can be seen relaxing in the cosy bar watching TV until midnight. Special favourite is Champions League Football in the Season. The hotel rooms are quirky and a throwback to the past, simple but clean and have a charm that reminds you that not everywhere needs to be a promoted corporate brand to eat well and be comfortable for a night or two. Oh the WiFi is reliable and complimentary. It’s a hidden Gem and challenging to find but worth it for sure. dont be put off if you drive onto what appears to be a pedestrian zone in the centre of Town. Enjoy!
