Since reopening, this restaurant has continued to improve. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly, courteous, and chatty, adding to the overall experience. There are plenty of seats available indoors and outdoors, with glass barriers to protect from the elements. Although I have not yet tried the food, the dishes I saw looked delicious. What User doesn't like about Half Way House:
Just had a meal for 4. Steaks were overcooked and considering the prices, the rest of the veg/chips were lowest quality catering quality. Daughter carrot sticks weren't even peeled and dried out completely to the point of shriveling up. Will think twice about returning for food even though it's our local. View all feedback.
More beautiful place to eat or just a drink. the halfway house has a friendly atmosphere, many comfortable seating and cozy corners through a few log burners. we found the personal very nice staff and helpful. it is also clean and well maintained. the service was right. the food prices were reasonable and the portions were good, I would recommend.
First time in for ages, really happy with our experience. Service and staff were all very friendly and professional. Menu had a large choice, the food was excellent. You can always tell a well run pub when you can see how clean the toilets are. Would highly recommend
What a great place. Good food. Good staff. Good place to eat. Weather was wild outside but welcome was warm inside. Well done half way house team. We will make the journey from Scotland again!
We were staying at the Airport Premiere Inn. The attached Hungry Horse couldn't accommodate us for dinner so we tried the Halfway House a short distance down the road. It is a Holts pub restaurant and proved to be a better choice than the Air Balloon. The food was nicely cooked and presented. And we had a good experience. We often use the Premiere Inn when visiting Blackpool and will eat at the Halfway House when we visit again.
Great environment and service however we ordered 10 meals and 4 were wrong. Food was delicious when 2 of the 4 wrong meals were corrected.
