had already been a bit away and have come back to Machias to be blown away from the changes to helen’s. the same favorites I liked as a child only better if possible. very attentive staff, incredibly fresh seafood, which are prepared on other wise than fried, and the cake...More ingredients are a good supplement. terrible. we waited half an hour for our food. waitress hardly came to the table, eating was bland and tasteless. too expensive for the quality of the food, not to mention that we had kept a day before a party of 12 so that they had much attention. the food was delivered to strange times and the half of our party received her eating 25 minutes before all others. no apologies for the hour and half wait.
