"Visited between Christmas and New Year at short notice having collected family from the airport in Cork. The place was bustling with Christmas guests yet the staff remained friendly and unflappable, with a very welcoming lady at the door who showed me to reception to make a booking and them remembered me and took us straight to our table a couple of hours later. The food was very good in particular the cheese and charcuterie platter which was of a very high quality as well as absolutely enormous. It really is enough for two as a main course! Fish and chips was also declared to be excellent, as were the pork belly and a Castle Burger. The perfect place to stop in Macroom."

"We were slightly hesitant after reading the restaurant reviews. Happy to say any negative comments are not worth reading. We ordered the fillet steak dish and the plaice/crab dishes. Both tasted amazing and were well presented. The staff were very friendly and welcoming ensuring that our meal was enjoyable. Desert was shared (large portions) between us and amazing lemon and lime homemade cheesecake served with icecream. So light and delicious. All in all a great experience and we would definitely return when in the area again."

"A wonderful atmosphere with tapas, salads, a wood fired pizza oven and amazing desserts. The little garden is lovely, with a veggie patch and fruit trees. It's well worth a stop."
