What Patrick Hogan doesn't like about Grand River Cellars:
I have visited this winery for many years and I must say it's really starting to rely on its popularity rather than the quality of food or service. When we arrived all the outdoor seating was taken and we were told we could not wait for an outdoor table that it was not allowed and we would have to sit inside no choice. The appetizers were delicious, the ice wine was good, it was a cozy atmosphere. Definitely recommend. Great place to meet up with friends.
I understand that they were extremely busy, but it wasn't the best service or food. We were a party of 3, and my husband's order was wrong and had to ask twice for his drink. Our daughter had to wait for her food because a different server took her order to their customer. When it did come it was pretty bland. They did comp her meal.

We enjoyed a stay here as part of the Harvest Host program. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food and wine were great. The landscaping was beautiful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
My husband and I decided to dine here as suggested by a friend. I made a reservation to ensure we had a table. The ambiance was very nice. We sat on the patio. There was live music. My dinner consisted of a veggie burger. The food was just okay. I felt as though I was eating a kid’s meal. The veggie patty was dry. My sides were chips, a pickle, and mandarin oranges. I had a Shirley Temple to drink. We would come again for a drink the atmosphere, not necessarily the food.
