Used to be good place to go for community. Now it's very passive aggressive environment. I've also seen roaches crawling on counters after being served my coffee. The Mad Bean offers a variety of good coffee choices and smoothies conveniently located in downtown Madison. We ordered an icy espresso and it was better than Starbucks! The service is fast and welcoming.
Went to mad bean today and it was packed two drinks and a sandwich. I sat in the corner and noticed that today only two ladies worked all the place. A young lady first day I could add) made the drinks and a second young lady made the food. These two ladies had all the place smooth and we're so nice. I've been in crazy bean and always had a great experience, but these two ladies do the work of a full staff and make my drinks and food perfection makes me appreciate the place even more. So for review, the food was fantastic and the drink was also. I recommend it.
Very nice atmosphere. It reminds me when I worked in the music library during my college years. Great staff, good food and little time to wait. Love this place!
