Randomly chose this place as it was close to El Retiro park and we’re glad that we did. Despite what others have said we found the service excellent, despite our poor Spanish, and the food great. We had Madrid specialities Cocido Madrile (Madrid’s famous stew) and and Caracoles a la madrileña (snails in a spicy sauce). Both were excellent. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. We stopped for an early lunch. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly and everything was fine. The setting is very pleasant underneath canopies which kept it cool on a hot day. The food wasn’t memorable but I might come back again just because it was a nice place to watch the people go by View all feedback.
