"Service was bad. I wasn?t able to complete my order even asked for advice and waiter said ?ok? and walked away. I didn?t even know what or if I was going to get sides with my meals. The chips were stale and salsa had no flavor at all. When my food camethe cheese was transparent and seemed it was watered down. My refried verbs were by far to extremely watery and barely anyactually beans. The paints on the wall were good but that?s about it. Also the outside area in front to the restaurant smeltlike garbage but the inside was fine; however, when returning back to our hotel our clothes had a lingering smell that wasunpleasant. I do not recommend this place at all."

"Have not been to cafe itself, but just made Pecan Squash side dish for Christmas, found the recipe in Fresh from the Farmers Market Cookbook. We had a bounty of butternut squash this year, and I thought I 'd try your recipe. It is easy to make and tastes excellent. Thank you for sharing! Nummy!"

"Updated 4 9 2022: 3.5 stars. Unfortunately the food was not as good as it was last time I was here in 2021 see original review below . Some items like the beef tenderloin was very good but other items like the soup were a miss, and the dessert chocolate pie was fine. The bread served as a starter is good but I think they are serving it with unsalted butter? I'm sad because the quality was inconsistent between courses and overall was not as good as it was a year ago, but the price was the same 35 person . Original review from 2021: Wow, the food was phenomenal! Everything had such complex flavors. The chefs deserve high praise. I would definitely drive 90 minutes from Minneapolis to eat here again!"

"Im so happy my friends and i stumbled in here while i was showing them around town! im from red wing and have (somehow) never been here before. the diner setting is super cute, everyone was so nice to us! i got the reuben and honestly, its one of the best ive ever had. the prices are low for the amount of food you get and everything was about as fresh as you can get it! ill have to come back when im back in town thanks for the awesome lunch!!"
