"We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The standout for us was definitely their Tadka Dal – it was excellent! We opted for takeaway and were pleased with the quick service. The staff were friendly and ensured that the food was prepared and delivered promptly. However, there was one issue we encountered. Since we ordered a big meal for a group of 8 people, we expected some disposable cutlery to be provided, but unfortunately, it wasn't included. This made it a bit inconvenient for us to enjoy the meal together. Overall food quality was good and the flavors were on point. We'll definitely consider returning, though we might bring our own cutlery next time if we're ordering takeaway! Parking: There's a car park nearby (Moray Street Car Park) just 2 mins walk from the restaurant. "We visited on a Wednesday and the place was busy the staff friendly the orders were brought quickly and as for the food very very nice. I had slow cooked Moroccan lamb and the rest of the party enjoyed their fish and the deserts wowsers!!!!!!"

"Delicious food with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Smoothies are sublime and freshly made to order, as are all food orders. Most importantly, there's vegan cake! Not the roomiest of places inside, but there's a table outside for the more hardy customers. Takeaway is probably the best option for wheelchair users as the indoor are raised and there's little room for a wheelchair. The food's worth the effort though!"

"Loved everything about this place! The food was amazing: beautifully prepared, well presented and so tasty. The staff were super helpful, friendly and chatty and the ethos was all very much about local produce and trusted suppliers. The Spanish red wine Petit Albert Penedes was lovely and smooth and I'll be looking to get hold of some of it myself! Can't recommend The Bothy Bistro highly enough."
