Thee best bacon egg on sourdough ive ever had eggs cooked perfectly and great coffee . i just moved into the area and this place is brill

In Short: Nostimo Café is a coastal café with a nearby beach within walking distance, making this a place for locals and visitors to chill out and enjoy a casual dining experience. <br/ <br/ When Ompty gave us word of an eastern suburb cafe, we took notice. They live and work in the area, so when they recommended Nostimo Café, we took the first opportunity to check it out. Nostimo is a cosy café located in the coastal suburb of Malabar, just over 10km south-east of the Sydney CBD. Since setting up shop here 10 years ago, co-owner Isabelle Perez Scott has made Nostimo Café an integral part of Malabar’s food scene.

Nostimo is a great little cafe located in Malabar. With a fitout that reminds me of a surf shack, crazily enticing menu and appetizing specials board this place packs a relaxed vibe with some serious eats. The breakfast bowls are packed full of colour and flavour and come in their own coconut shell bowls I would hit up the Ocean Break Bowl. If dropping in for breakfast then the smashed avo is of serious size and taste. Also at less than $12 you can still save for your house deposit. In there at lunch time, I chowed down on the kofta burger which came out on Turkish bread. A nice little twist on your traditional burger. Whether you are just dropping in for a bite or a feast they guys at Nostimo will be able to hook you up with whatever you are feeling.

Nostimo is a friendly cafe in Malabar, the staff here provide excellent service and great food and drinks to boot. If you are looking for something to do, make a day out of it, stop by for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The area is surrounded by plenty of nice beaches, golf courses and bushwalking tracks.<br/ <br/ The cafe has alfresco dining if you prefer fresh air and sunshine, if it is cool there is ample seating inside the cafe. This was a brunch but it was cool so we opted to dine inside. Odering coffee and some freshly made fruit juice to start, both very enjoyable, a cucumber and also watermelon. <br/ <br/ Being brunch I am always a little confused about what to order, do you order breakfast or lunch? We shared a bit of both. For something healthy the fruit salad with yogurt and granola was a great option, with a big portion beautiful fresh fruit. The breakfast stack did not disappoint, with a mountain of food arriving at the table. The stack had two perfectly poached eggs, avocado, baby spinach, roasted tomato, mushroom and bacon served on a thick piece of sourdough and topped with a tasty hollandaise sauce. An option for the hungry.<br/ <br/ We spotted some impressive burgers and sandwiches at the next table. This prompted us to order the Portugese chicken burger. A very big and flavoursome option served on Turkish bread with a few fillets of chicken, lettuce mayo and chilli sauce.<br/ <br/ A solid cafe serving big portions of food with freindly service.

Got invited to this place by Ompty Media.We had a fresh pineapple and watermelon juice and an acai juice with blueberries and coconut. Both were delicious – the freshly squeezed one being super refreshing!Next we were brought six different plates and there were only two of us. You can tell that the owners are super generous but also that they put a lot of love into the food they make.First we were given pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, rock melon, and pawpaw topped with an orange slice and icing sugar. This was beautifully presented and so colourful. Definitely the embodiment of spring – not to mention they were absolutely delicious.Next, they brought out the sautéed mushroom which was a special. This was served with wilted spinach, bacon, poached eggs, beetroot hummus, seeds and dukkah. This was just perfect. The dukkah added a nice flavour to the food and the beetroot hummus was a nice surprise – everything went really well together!The third plate brought out was the spiced cauliflower which was another special. This was served with fried kale, poached eggs, sesame seeds, sumac, chorizo oil and lime. This too, was good! The fried kale gave the dish a nice crisp.The fourth dish was the breakfast stack. This consisted of poached eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, baby spinach, and avocado topped with hollandaise sauce. Also beautifully served like the first three, the hollandaise is definitely a winner.Finally, the fourth and fifth dishes were super breakfast bowls.One being an Acai bowl with amazon berries, topped with strawberries, banana, granola and coconut flakes.The other, green energy made up of spinach, banana, ginger, orange, pineapple, mango and apple juice also topped with strawberries, banana, granola and coconut flakes.They were both super pretty – it was hard to choose which one was better! And can you believe, we finished all six plates between the two of us?!This shows you just how good the food was. This is definitely would recommend this place to family and friends and would definitely go back!
