What J likes about Popiah Ta Chong:
I'm well aware that the photo I uploaded does no justice but this is a must-try if you're visiting Melaka. For RM5, you get a fresh spring roll filled with generous portions of turnip/mangkuang, shredded omelettes, etc. What makes this roll so flavorful is the addition of crispy pork lard (sorry this is non-halal). I arrived at around 11.30, they just opened the store and there was queue soon after that. Many came to collect their order, apparently you can pre-order one day before. I only tried the non-spicy popiah. It's not to my liking due to the sweet flavor. Well, try yourself, maybe the spicy one! View all feedback.
