Our view of the city and bay was amazing. Our waitress (Yaya, I believe)...was very well informed about the menu and the owner/cook (Bruce), mentioned in previous reviews, came to welcome us with specialties and recommendations. The cocktails, the appetizers, the Entrees and yes Dessert served all with attention to detail and delicious. An unforgettable evening.
I don't know why the restaurant in Casa Limon hasn't received more attention. The food here is quite good and it has a pleasant atmosphere. There is no written menu, but the waiter very patiently recites the options several times. He was also quite... recognizable as every dish was prepared. We have been in Malinalco for several months and we are quite upset with the rough use of Knorr Suiza and Jugo Maggi (aka MSG) in every restaurant in the city. So we were very satisfied that the waiter was able to recommend several appetizers and main dishes that were MSG-free. We had the goat cheese salad, sea bass and duck jam. All were very good. The dessert base was a bit under. Overall, prices are a bit high (appearants, Entrée and Dessert for two was $70), but it is definitely worth a visit. It is a bit outside the center of the city so you want to take a taxi.
I have often gedimt in Casa Limon and my wife and I (which live in South Carolina) have made it a tradition to eat at the New Year's Eve for the last 4 years. For a small Mexican city like Malinalco, this is actually a great find. Go, you won't be disappointed
