Was my first time and had a great experience. Perfect setting for a fun business dinner. Staff was great, and did a fantastic job helping the group with menu selections. Food was outstanding truly. Perfect for sharing and flying forks! View all feedback.
What Ajs1 doesn't like about Electric Cello:
The food was fine, but you have to plan on sharing everything as a table. Otherwise, someone could be completely finished with their meal before another person even gets theirs... which is what happened to us. Staff was friendly and fairly attentive. Pretty decor. View all feedback.
We went two weeks in row! Excellent service, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the melon gazpacho, seared scallops and Caesar salad. This place is a gem!
This was a repeat visit to Electric Cello, and we will visit many times again. The food is outstanding Chef Aaron knows what he is doing. The service was on spot very attentive and efficient. Highly recommended.
Wondering why this place had only 42 reviews! Maybe that's why it's a hidden gem?? We were two; had a chance to order quite a lot of stuff on their menu (no alcohol). Heard that they are closing and might open somewhere else. Definitely it was worth the visit. Bone marrow was our favorite and the smoked fish pate.
This location is closing next week...but I'm not sure how sad I'll be to see it go! Stars are for the ambiance and the service. Beautiful, romantic setting with dim lighting and the service is ON IT. The food though? My favorites of the evening were the Ceasar salad (who doesn't want their salad in a cheese bowl) and the acorn squash dish, which had a really lovely sauce to compliment it. Other dishes we had were the steak tartar toast (lacked seasoning all together) and I had the quail with marrow friend rice. The quail had good flavor, but was fried, basically taking all of the meat off that little guy. The marrow fried rice had good flavor, but the marrow was a little chunky throughout the rice, making it feel fatty instead of super savory. My friend also had the scallops, which were just ok.
Electric Cello is a ‘craft cocktail bar' showcasing OOLA distillery spirits which has a bottle shop right next door. The food is ‘seasonal, local, fancy, comfort food' per the menu description and features creative takes on familiar fare like Gazpacho which had a cherry/fennel chutney providing textural contrast (it could use some sharp micro greens for color but is delicious all the same). Both squash dishes were good though the Acorn squash was definitely tastier. Again, Acorn squash could have used a bit more chimichurri squash itself was cooked perfectly. Daily croquette was a cheese variety and was a bit dense. The only sore note was the bread pudding which had a strange, crunchy ‘bread' and was buried under whipped cream did not care for the presentation or flavor. Lighting is not conducive to appreciating the plating which is a shame. Cocktails were ambitious and generally good though the old fashioned was a bit of a let down. Service was attentive and food arrived regularly (we shared 4 small plates) though it appeared to be a quiet night with only a couple diners an hour and a half from closing time.
