We had a really nice lunch here. The venue is very rustic but nicely done and comfortable. The log wood burner gave ambience and service was good And welcoming. The menu was tasty with good options all well presented and very tasty. The crème brûlée was a highlight but all were good. Nice beer and some reasonable wines. We will certainly return View all feedback.

This charming pub in a picturesque village was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The restaurant was bustling with activity and the service was top-notch. The menu featured creative dishes made with local ingredients, and both the meat and fish were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the sirloin steak was tough to cut and had a large tendon running through it, which was disappointing considering the high price of £32. Despite this, the rest of the meal was delightful. It should be noted that while some reviews mention a Michelin star, the pub is actually listed in the Michelin Guide, which are two separate recognitions.
Returned for the first time in almost 10 years. Similar experience as before. Beautiful location, lovely old building, excellent food. Seriously very good. For us the night felt rushed a bit , no time between courses, uncomfortable due to the seating arrangement, down light in our face; and a special night for us came to an end as we decided to head home early. Food excellent. Meat cook perfectly pink and delicious accompanying veg. Very talented chef. Just, for us, the atmosphere/experience of the night again didn't amount to a romantic/cosy night.
Recently had lunch here for a birthday celebration. What a fantastic experience it was too. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The service was impeccable and food was divine. We will definitely be coming again.
For those who may be influenced by older negative reviews, please note that the atmosphere at this restaurant was lovely, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent. With a majority of excellent and very good reviews, totaling 93.75%, we definitely plan on returning.
