Well we happened to find that this was the best restaurant in Courtallam in a magazine and had been accorded with international honours for it's food. What Tarun Din doesn't like about Courtallam Border Parotta:
Had mutton and egg biriyani with family The place was crowded during lunch Dining hall was clean and service was slightly delayed Prices are low for chennai and Mahabalipuram but the food was great Wlll definitely come again View all feedback.
Hotel is on the highway and it's too too costly. All items are very costly and we have a chappathi, parota with chicken Gravy. Gravy quantity also not sufficient for two people. Taste is bit okay bcz of the price.
We tried the chicken kothu parotta which was very nice. the mutton veechu parata was okie okie. they are fast to serve the orders that are placed. neat wash area. I think it's a good plAce to stop by atleast once if you are in mahabalipuram....

On an impulse, my wife and I decided to drive down to Mahabulipuram by around 8.30 pm one day and just before Mahabs on the right is the restaurant. I have heard a lot about their small place in Courtrallam. The decor is simple and neat with no ac and just the natural breeze. We chose their speciality combo of 4 parathas and nattukozhi kolambu and pichipotta nattu kozhi for starters. The food has a distinct flavour, but the cold and oily parathas were a big let down. Though good, not great for me to drive down again for the food.

It is a small joint where they rate the food seeing you.Apart of these drawbacks,Rahmad's Border hotel at Courtallam has given us wonderful memories .
