"We only spent one night here as part of a larger trip to Sardinia exploring the East Coast. First impressions are really good; such a stunning property, so much care has gone into every detail in the landscaping. Sadly the check in was a little chaotic which if you're only there for one night is a bit irksome...they wouldn't let us check in until 3pm but then had lost the key to our room. After much chasing around to no avail they lucky for us, upgraded us which was most appreciated...thank you Simona for being decisive and professional in finding a good solution. We had a couple of the hours by the pool which I have to say didn't live up to what I'd seen in pictures. Although large it really needs a face lift. The umbrellas are not fit for purpose being tatty and offering no shade (this was an annoyance to my Celtic skinned husband and the pool was fairly dirty mostly because the pool itself is surrounded by grassed areas that were totally churned up and muddy due to a number of families with baby buggies...It really wasn't great considering how much care has been taken with the rest of the property. It needs an overhaul. Also slightly strangely dinner is at a set time of 8pm so there is actually a queue of people waiting to be allowed in which wasn't very relaxing. Simona (the star however had secured us a lovely table with a beautiful view (it was our first trip away without kids Service was professional but brusque and by 10pm whilst there were still half a dozen or so tables still finishing up, the staff were laying up for breakfast around us. I really didn't like this and it spoiled the feeling of relaxation. The food however was delicious and representative of it's country locale. It was just that you felt that you were being hurried up so that they could get on with preparing the restaurant for the morning. The room was lovely and we were grateful for the upgrade although the bedlinen wasn't as comfortable on the skin as others we'd been to (polycotton? . The terraces here are beautiful, stunning but a little don't touch feel about them, a little over curated and so not as inviting as they could be. Remember also you are remote here so cocktails were the most expensive we'd paid at 16 euros. I'm glad we went, but equally glad it was only for one night there's a tinge of flattering to deceive about the place. It's not quite a 4* for me."
