Nice restaurant! Friendly staff! I felt welcome. The staff helped me to speak one of the fiancées I wanted to order, and I thought that was very nice of her. When asked questions, she was very helpful and answered them. I ordered Unagi Donburi! It was delicious! I ordered it specifically, and the cook fixed it exactly as I wanted. My son, who has celiac disease which requires a gluten free diet, visited Sumo Restaurant in Manassas with a group of friends recently. Unfortunately, all he was offered to eat was a bowl of white rice. It was a very bad experience for him. We have eaten at many Sushi/Japanese restaurants in the past that have had wonderful gluten free substitions available. There was no accommodation that night to his diet or special needs. While restaurants are not required to cater to special diets or needs, it would be helpful to post this on your website or in large print outside your restaurant. We came here for my sons birthday and had a great dinner! Service was phenomenal! Super attentive and didn 't have to ask for anything. Our chef was so friendly and cooked our food to perfection. Chicken was tender and juicy, everything was delicious. We will definitely be back! Beats the other hibachi in the area who barely gives you any food. At Sumo 's the portions are generous and I appreciate that they don 't charge you to sing happy birthday/offer complementary cheesecake. So nice!
I ordered 2 Special Rolls, Volcano Roll and 007 Roll. Volcano Roll is the one with the bright red and green in the middle and 007 is the long curved roll. Inside the Volcano Roll: spicy tuna, cream cheese. 007 Roll Inside: shrimp tempura. Outside: spicy tuna, cab mix Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
This restaurant is one of the best I've gotten to enjoy. Staff is super friendly and attentive, Gyoza appetizer was amazing and definitely made with love. The Filet and Chicken Hibachi dinner was tender and juicy! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
