"I had a business with a friend here. The reuben sandwich and the sweet potato fries were excellent. I find the latter if I order them elsewhere to be either good or poor, with not much in between. The Sweet Potato Fries at The Liberal Cup... super! When it comes to beer, I am a big fan of English style bitters. The entertaining cellar bitter is a beer I would drink daily when I lived in Hellowell, but I would be between him and the We All (S)cream ale, another style I really enjoy and hard to find. The Liberal Cup is worth a visit."

"Lucky Garden has been here since I was a kid, maybe longer. Everyone has his favorite restaurant and I can't knock it, but you can't really beat this place. Tofu dishes to get these parts is quite rare, and there are a few good ones on the menu. Often I just order something lo my without oyster sauce. There is a magnificent view of the Kennebec when you eat, but I live a street up, so I don't really get the chance. Takeout is super fast! Honestly, there is something for everyone in this classic American Chinese food style that ends just what you want."

"I followed a friend's suggestion and tried this place out. The staff (waitress and cook) were extremely friendly and helpful. A1 offers a simple menu ranging from burgers, to comfort foods or healthy. I had the beet arugula salad with goat cheese and sliced almonds...DELICIOUS. I can't wait to go back again. Parking is available out back or along the street. Highly recommend it!"
