"What a treasure of a restaurant! If you're in the area, book right away!!! You won't want to miss their amazing food. We were greeted by the owner and within a few minutes of sitting down, we were fast friends. Her hubby, the chef, came out and chatted as well. Everything we ordered was outstanding, especially the mango souffle dessert....you've never tasted anything like it. The max stars we can give here is 5, but I'd give it 10!!!!"

"I don't exaggerate by saying that this is my favorite restaurant at all times. There are absolutely no details that will be overlooked during preparation, presentation and service of SoLo's food creations. We have eaten every bite from the house butter and freshly baked rolls to complex entrées and delicious desserts. Where else have you served your carefully selected fresh oysters with a fried onion granite that you could just eat with a spoon? Bacon's wrapped rabbit food served on Celeriac coffee infused logs, accompanied by celery pure clogs was not only one of the most delicate and tasteful dishes, but also looked like an artwork. Her homemade cucumbers Habanero Minze Sorbet seemed designed by someone who exactly the aroma release of each ingredient in a 's mouth....not amazingly short! A dinner at SoLo 's is a must for everyone who can appreciate the state of art food. Bravo!"

"After I had the honor of working under the direction of Dana at Mistral, I was eating there before I worked there. If I should be asked what I think of Mistral, I must say the best romantic restaurant for two who are in love, I know that only the best ingredients are used and that is very obvious in the artistry of the plate both visually and in the pallet. The food is guided with passion by a dedicated team, led by one in my opinion the best cook for which I know and had the pleasure of working, thanks Dana I learned invaluable knowledge of you. I also know that the eclectic wine list is personally selected from a variety of fine French wines, each connoisseur would be spoiled for choice. The service is excellent and attentive, I understand that the interior has been updated since my last one, but if I know the owners of this facility, it can only be of the best. If I were to judge this as one of the best restaurants in the world, my answer would be a sounding yes, and as a chef who worked and ate in many restaurants in Europe, South Africa and the USA, my answer would remain. The food at Mistral is a culinary experience."

"Beautiful decorated restaurant. Highly recommend to experience this place. Chef owned with his amazing wife Nancy. She was very attentive full of energy. She decorated this place with such enthusiasm. Great romantic ambience. Loved how everything was so nicely articulated. Parking available on site. Service was slow. We waited a while to be seated, so definitely recommend a reservation. Games available in waiting area. Our waitress was nice, but we had to remind her to bring our salad and she forgot to bring the bread... we also wanted to get the duck dumplings, but they ran out. Loved the caprese salad. The in house Salad was very delicious as well."

"Best milkshakes ever! Small menu and burgers are paltry in size. I liked the sausage but other choices were chorizo or lamb. The fried cauliflower was good, but could do without the jalapeños. Service was great and food was ready quickly and hot."

"It was my wife’s birthday dinner. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. We arrived 10 min early ahead of our 6:15 reservation. We were promptly seated but waited 10 minutes for an available menu. No big deal. We ordered one French onion soup and 2 entrees. We waited at least 30 minutes for the soup to arrive, which by the way, was delicious!! And another hour or more for the entrees. During all this down time, the server continuously apologized while stating that they only have 2 cooks and 140 guests to feed. They were definitely super busy and crowded. When the entrees arrived they were luke warm. I had the shrimp scampi and my wife had the steak. The portions were disappointing to say the least for the price, 28 and 35$ respectively. Mine was likened to a child’s portion. When I complained to the manager, she said that they usually add more pasta than what I received. Pasta is just about the cheapest food item in a kitchen. Made no sense. They gave us a dessert on the house for the ridiculous long wait and overall lousy experience. I don’t mind paying those prices if the food is good, portions are plentiful and service is adequate. Unfortunately, this simply was not the case at this rural VT eatery."
