"What a treasure of a restaurant! If you're in the area, book right away!!! You won't want to miss their amazing food. We were greeted by the owner and within a few minutes of sitting down, we were fast friends. Her hubby, the chef, came out and chatted as well. Everything we ordered was outstanding, especially the mango souffle dessert....you've never tasted anything like it. The max stars we can give here is 5, but I'd give it 10!!!!"

"I don't exaggerate by saying that this is my favorite restaurant at all times. There are absolutely no details that will be overlooked during preparation, presentation and service of SoLo's food creations. We have eaten every bite from the house butter and freshly baked rolls to complex entrées and delicious desserts. Where else have you served your carefully selected fresh oysters with a fried onion granite that you could just eat with a spoon? Bacon's wrapped rabbit food served on Celeriac coffee infused logs, accompanied by celery pure clogs was not only one of the most delicate and tasteful dishes, but also looked like an artwork. Her homemade cucumbers Habanero Minze Sorbet seemed designed by someone who exactly the aroma release of each ingredient in a 's mouth....not amazingly short! A dinner at SoLo 's is a must for everyone who can appreciate the state of art food. Bravo!"

"Great food, unique flavorful menu items, not typical run of the mill selection. My daughter had the Filet au Poivre medium, and I had Seared chicken breast. It took a bit of time, however, both dishes came prepared just right, juicy and flavorful. Clearly they were not microwaved and the person cooking them knew what they were doing. As for prices, they are not cheap, but par for the course considering typical higher end resort prices for everything. I can say that food didn't disappoint and the service was spot on."

"The Dorset Inn is the perfect quintessential Vermont B&B. The rooms are sweet and comfortable, the food is delicious, and the staff is SO nice and accommodating. My husband and I have enjoyed the restaurant here for years and have enjoyed staying here as well the last few times we've visited. Highly recommend!"

"I don't know how anyone here has a bad experience. Twice Union Underground has saved our first night weekend health dinners by actually opening it in the past 9 and competent, but not pretentious. It is a casual pub-style place with some extra flair in the dishes and a good changing beer/chid choice. The burger was excellent and possibly the perfectly boiled medium (pink) I have ever seen personally. Bravo. Our server was incredibly nice and helpful even when it was late (both separate times we visited). He actually helped us lead to a beer and cider that we both enjoyed so much that we felt more of each later in a local beer and wine merchant. The only possible negative was that one of our soups was not super hot, but everything else was on the point and we really pushed the watch on this visit. I wish we could steal this place and bring him home. There are a lot of pub food with available local alcohol in VT, but this is not just another."

"Ambiance cozy, warm, little outdated but a nice welcoming restaurant. Waited about 10 min for our table with reservation. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Our waitress was very attentive and the chef came out to greet some customers and personally served me my soup and entree. Overall excellent attention and conversation with our waitress. Food had the special soup which was a pumpkin and butternut squash purée blended with carrots apples and some maple honey. Absolutely delicious and not heavy. Bread was warm, crunchy and the whipped butter was delicious. My wife had the hanger steak with garlic mashed potatoes very tasty and not tough at all. Garlic mashed were not overly garlic and creamy. I had the 20 oz Prime Rib. It was excellent; not too fatty, well seasoned with pepper, and a nice cook. My only complaint would be that the steak was warm not hot, and a tad bit salty but it didn't hinder my from devouring it. Really one of the best I've ever had (top 3). The twice baked potato was amazing and finished with a nice broil it was crunchy on the outside but rich on the inside. Dessert apple strudel was fantastic and the Wilcox ice cream was amazing. We were nearly full when we ordered it but didn't leave a mark on the plate. Overall worth a try. Really good dinner not overly expensive but not cheap either."
