"As a local living in the area, I have gedimt at the Dorset Inn for over ten years. I rarely post reviews, but in this case, because I hope the restaurant will try to improve its food and service. This place was a treasure for me, and over the years we have celebrated birthdays, holidays and anniversary by treating ourselves for a special dinner there. After a particularly devastating experience last Saturday, I am not sure if I return. Like all companies in this area, they have increased their prices and I understand that based on inflation. But increasing prices, decreasing portion size for the run of meal products such as Caesar salads with boxes, tasteless crumbles small now $14 , a very watery pasta dish $30 along with very inconspicuous, bordering on ruin, service with our specific server, does not make sure that a loyal local client will continue to protect it. The server seemed miffed that we didn't order a lot of alcoholic beverages, shattered when we asked if they could light our table candle, flew one of the orders, didn't bring water to fill our glasses or bring bread, despite the bread plate and bread knife on the table, that a clamp have removed them now? .The restaurant, which as someone who cooks and bakes a good deal at home, delivered well-designed dishes that are priced, with a beautiful dining room and a charming tavern, as well as strong service. I believe it was bought by new owners sometime in recent years, and they did not maintain the strong standards that made this one of the best places in our region to enjoy a special meal."

"My wife and I had dinner twice at the Fire Tower Restaurant Tavern during our stay in Stratton. Expect resort prices...not cheap for Tavern Food (see menu pictures), but you get a lot of food. The waiting staff was very friendly and attentive. Nice casual restaurant. Great place for dinner after a day on the trails. 3/17/19 We ordered the flat breads in the first night. I had the Margherita Ala Prosciutto and it was fantastic. My wife ordered the Green Mountain and it tasted really healthy. 318/19 We ordered the Local Bowl and the Jerk Wings and recommend both."

"Came over this jewel that went through Southern Vermont. Something about this place pulled me in. The amount, the fact that it was clearly an old gas station, still with its big pump canopy or it is cool mood with a colorful art wall painting on the side of the building, it was everything. The food keeps me back. No good restaurant and not very fast food, but something in between. I'd say Vermont's national version of Shake Shake. You place your order in the window, they bring it out and call your name. I really enjoyed the OG Burger, which comes with two thin pastes, cheese, salad, tomatoes, well maintained onions and a spicy special sauce. I have fresh boiled bacon for $1. Everything together really works. The Fried Chicken Sandwich served with salad, tomatoes, pickled onion on a bed cabbage with its green goddess sauce was really good. They use local farm raised chicken, but it is not a cutlet, it?s soil in a patty with a crispy bread outside. I also gave myself the spiced special sauce. Buns were also very good. Their hairs are shoe ring type and are crispy to perfection, but a bit too salty. They also offer soft napkin and a complete menu of shakes from their own Custard recipe, which are thick and tasty, although on my visit for this review they had no ice cream to make. Absolutely. As the name would implicate, they offer homemade honeypie, have not tried yet, but I hear it sweet and tasty. They offer many other items, including a number of handmade sausages with ingredients that also local and interesting salads. Beer, wine, cooler, homemade lemonades, (the maple limonade was surprisingly good) as well as a complete set of bottle soda are also available. At the moment you take out and outside the table just eat. Overall a great place with a great episode, serving comfort food with fantastic fresh ingredients, all fresh made to order."

"Best breakfast in town!! While we are lucky in Southern Vermont to suffer no dearth of diners and dives, if you find yourself hungry in Manchester Center, go no farther than Nipper's Cafe. Great family owned and operated business, everyone is friendly and the modern diner decour gives a great atmosphere. The omelettes are delicious, but make sure you try one of the yummy benedicts! Food: 5"
